Project: Talent Factory. "Dance Around the World" When: 31st March 2013 Where: Chelsea Theatre, London Description: DANCE AROUND THE WORLD is a youth exchange programme between the United Kingdom, (through NICOLA), Italy (through SimmARTS), Turkey (through Youth A.R.T.), France (through FRENCH TOUCH) and the Netherlands (through UNtold). The aim of the project is to enrich young people's knowledge of the origins of various dance styles, create items that reflect their cultural and social identity, and to encourage them to confidently voice their opinions. A group of 36 young people have worked together and created a dance production in six days!!!

Project: Talent Factory Youth Arts Festival 2009 When: 11 July 2009 Where: Earl ́s Court Exhibition Centre Description: The Youth Festival is the first event of its kind to be held in the borough, free of charge, open to everybody and designed to showcase the energy and talent of its young participants before the wider audiences attracted annually by the Earl's Court Festival. The event began with performances from several DJs and bands held on the main stage. There will also be a series of free interactive workshops in music, dance, acting, circus acrobatics and visual arts, with opportunities for youngsters to sample a variety of art forms in a relaxed atmosphere. The highlight of the Festival was the Talent Competition, judged jointly by professionals and the audience, with cash prizes intended to encourage the winners to access further training in their chosen artistic field. Stalls with free food, music, art, crafts and information about local youth provision (recreational, as well as education and careers) was also available throughout the event. There was also a free raffle and giveaways from the X-Factor stars JLS.

My World My Way [Documentary] (Talent Factory)
Project: Talent Factory (Documentary) "My World My Way" When: 18 February 2012 Where: Chelsea Theatre (London) Funded By: British Council, Chelsea Theatre, Family Mosaic Description: My World My Way followed six NICOLA acts through their struggles as they pursue their musical ambitions. Taking art and culture as the main theme, the young people reflected on issues related to how hard it is to make it in the industry. The project inspirited further youth across Europe and the UK to produce similar documentaries. On February 18th NICOLA premiered 'My World My Way' at the Chelsea Theatre. The event started at 16:00 with live music, the film commenced at 17:30. This film has been funded with support from the British Council through the European Commission.

Street Life Production (Talent Factory)
Project: Street Life Production (Talent Factory) When: May 2008 to April 2009 (Theatre production 29th April 2009) Where: Theatre Show at Cochrane Theatre in Holborn. Various Youth Club and Youth Hostel in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Lambeth. Description: STREET LIFE fused music, dance and drama, and was the voice of young people expressing their feelings about issues surrounding gangs and crime. The project was planned by a group of young people wanted to help the gang crime issue. Extracts from STREET LIFE were presented to audiences at community festivals during summer 2008 and the project ended with a production performed on the 26th of April 2009 at the Cochrane Theatre, which was free to attend. Three songs and a music video were also produced and incorporated in the final production.

OTSS - Only The Stronger Survives - Street Dance Battle (Talent Factory)
When: 4-5 June 2012 Where: London Description: The International Hip-Hop Dance Competition in Central London, saw famous Dancers and DJ's from all around the globe (included Japan, Canada, Korea) attending during the Jubilee Week End! All dancers show their own style, technique and identity, using the beat as their ally and confront their opponent one on one. This event was the launch of Lexi Maize, a young hip-hop dancer, Enterprise Company that organises and manages hip-hop events between dancers from around the world.

Project: Talent Factory "Dance Around the World" When: 30th March to 6 April 2010 Where: Amsterdam (Netherlands) Description: Dance around the world was a youth exchange programme between NICOLA in the United Kingdom and Untold in the Netherlands, featuring 34 young people. The project featured a variety of activities focused on researching dance and their use in different cultures. We exchanged dance skills and culture and performed in various shows during the week with acts created during the day! Project: Talent Factory "Youth Arts Festival" When: 5 February 2011 Where: Chelsea Old Town Hall (London) Description: NICOLA Talent Factory Festival was a relaxed, family event designed to engage with young people across London and nurture upcoming, undiscovered talent. The 2011 festival included performances from DJ's, bands and dance troupes as well as free interactive workshops, live art installations, art exhibitions, arts & crafts and careers and education advice stalls. Judges included celebrity such as Sadie Flower, winner of the BBC's Strictly Dance Fever 2005. A crowd of over 750 watched the Showcase performance and took part to the diverse opportunity in offer. Oritsé Williams of popular UK boy band JLS surprisingly appeared at the event to scout talents.

Project: Talent Factory "Music Connection" When: 22nd - 30th of October 2011 Where: London Description: Music Connections EU was a youth exchange programme between the United Kingdom, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, France and the Netherlands. 42 young people and 12 leaders met in London for a period of seven days to engage in a variety of activities. Focused on researching music and how it features in different cultures, our aim was to create a selection of innovative songs that detail their experiences and express their identity. A documentary, 4 original songs and music videos were created showing each stage of the project, recording the development of the six groups coming together. On the 28th October NICOLA Talent Factory presented Music Connection, an event showcasing the brightest young British and European talent performing original material! The event covered a wide range of music including Pop, Rock, RnB, Hip-Hop and Dubstep.

Project: Worldwide "European youth in ageing population" When: 2-8 August 2012 Where: Turkey (Istanbul) Description: As 2012 is the year of Active Aging, Group Active Ageing organised a training course for young people and youth workers from 12 European countries. The main subjects of the training course was "Promoting European Year of Active Aging and Solidarity Between Generations in Europe". As participants we explored methods of facilitation between the aging population and youth while analysing different dimensions and effects of ageing population on youth in terms of employment, inclusive growth and participation. The median age in Europe is now over 40 and it is getting older each year, being prepared for this and establishing good networks of communication and solidarity between generations is essential. Participants: Romania, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Malta, Hungary, Belgium, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Slovenia.
